The Preston Hollow Early Childhood Association (PHECA), an organization for families with children from birth to five, warmly welcomes those who are new to the neighborhood, and to parenthood, to come and get acquainted!
PHECA is affiliated with the state and National PTA but is not associated with any particular school or religious organization. The annual dues are only $40.
PHECA strives to enrich the lives of neighborhood children by encouraging friendships among families and providing community support.
April General Meeting
Our April 27th meeting will take place at Crystal Smith's home. Crystal's address is available in our online or paper member directory. Our speaker will be Anne Rosselli. Anne will speak on "How to capture the precious moments in a busy life AND make the shot count!”
Anne Rosselli has been taking pictures since she was little and professionally, she’s been snapping photographs for 14 years! Anne has been a PHECA member since moving here in 2006. She came over from California with a 6 month old boy and husband. Fresh from teaching young children, she explored the possibility of moving from the “old school” art of photography into the expansive world of digital art. Having been classically trained in school, she ventured out in a combination of self teaching, apprenticing and classes at SMU. The process may be drastically different now, but the same holds true: you have to be able to get the shot! And wouldn’t it be nice if that shot wasn’t mixed in with 100 others that you have to delete?
This month, Anne focuses on how to use what everyone has at hand…the smartphone. Her goal is to get you capturing those memories while enjoying your busy, wonderful life! She will discuss various components of an image and some mechanics of the camera. With 3 kids always doing something picture worthy, she gets it. Life is busy! The goal is to get you faster at capturing the moment so that you can return to enjoy it!Check out Rosselli Photography
