January General Meeting
"Organize Your Space & Your Mind, Tips for Busy Mom's"
Does your house look like a war zone? Are your closets overstuffed with toys, crafts and games? Do you feel defeated by the clutter that comes with having kids? Relief is within reach! Join us Monday, February 29 at the home of Amy Merson for PHECA’s monthly meeting. Ally Tarter, owner and founder of ALT Habitat will help you tame the chaos in your home (and mind). She’ll provide helpful tips and strategies to keep your home clean and organized.
If you’re really fed up with a room in your house, send a photo of it directly to Ally by February19 ( firstname.lastname@example.org).
Please label the email “PHECA Chaos”. Ally will look at your photo and provide you with tips to help organize your space during the meeting. You’ll leave with a battle plan to tackle the toys!
The meeting starts promptly at 7:30. Wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
About Ally: Ally believes that everything in your home has a purpose and a place, and if something doesn't have its own place, it serves you no purpose. She firmly believes that living in a clutter-free organized environment is beneficial to your state of mind and boosts your productivity and time management. Ally’s penchant for organization started at a young age as she obsessed over labeling and color coordinating all of her school supplies. At home, she loved "Going Rambo" with a label maker in hand - a take no prisoners attitude to clutter. As a teenager, she began to hone her passion for purging as a rebellion against her mother’s tendency to hang on to way to much stuff around the house. After college, Ally spent a little over a decade in California where she began helping friends de-clutter their closets and bedrooms before returning home to Texas. She spent 15 years as an advertising agency producer, which is all about details and managing many different personalities, and is currently a Senior Instructor at The Bar Method Plano where she focuses on balancing physical and mental health. At the beginning of 2015, Ally started her own company called ALT Habitat to help clients meet their organizing goals. The name came from her initials (Ally Lee Tarter) but also a play on words for an "alternative” way to see your home. Through a process of filtering, collecting and organizing, she helps people create a stress-free home that is as pleasing to look at as it is to live in. Her daily motto – enjoy your friends and family, have a lot of fun, and contain the chaos!
